Jack of HeartsAs though listening to a higher calling, the Jack of Hearts is drawn toward helping others. With ample personal charisma and charm, combined with a charitable disposition, he is often as popular in his circle of friends as he is among his co-workers. As the youngest royal member of the Hearts suit, the Jack of Hearts appears to be an easy-going leader, one who is understanding and supportive, yet his King of Hearts in Jupiter demonstrates an innate ability to be in charge, with the opportunity to rise to high levels in his profession.

Nonetheless, a jack is a jack and the Jack of Hearts is no exception. As a Knave, he can be creative, playful and youthful and resist his natural calling. When expressing his lower nature, this resistance can be expressed as shirking responsibility and even infidelity. This indulgent behavior can derail many Jack of Hearts people and keep them from reaching their full potential.

As one of three immovable Fixed Cards in the Master Scripts, this ‘one-eyed’ Jack of the Hearts suit can be somewhat ‘fixed’ in their nature and personality. Dependable and noble at their core, their life task is one of service through love. Naturally generous with their time and energy, they are drawn toward philanthropy and social causes. They must be careful as they often over-give to the point of depletion in an effort to be someone’s savior.

Having a Nine of Spades♠ in Venus indicates that there will be some letting go of relationships or sacrificing for others throughout their lives. With friends, family and issues that are passionate about, heroism comes first. People with this card need to be aware of the inclination toward committing suicide, seeing it as the ultimate sacrifice for those they care about. If they see the life of another to be better off without them, killing themselves will be considered as an option that ultimately will make things better. Learning unconditional, selfless love and opening to new opportunities are two of the hallmarks of the Jack of Hearts. Learning non-attachment would be highly beneficial too.

Because of the power that their lifetime King of Hearts Jupiter offers, some Jack of Hearts people are known to seek out broken people that they can ‘fix’, save, sacrifice for and eventually rule over. They feel that they need to father and take of people who cannot care for themselves. It’s important to remember that most real life saviors do not have happily-ever-after endings to their story.

Many people with this card become advocates, clergy, counselors, doctors, environmentalists, firemen, lifeguards, military, ministers, nurses, paramedics, police, politicians, priests, protectors, teachers, therapists, and even protesters, speaking out for the environment and the less fortunate. They love to play the role of a hero, coming to the aid or defense of those who they perceive as victims in life. They need to be needed. Quite a few Jack of Hearts are also into fitness and have strong, healthy bodies, which is important if rescuing others is their true calling.

People of this card and suit are here to experience life and themselves through feelings/emotions, art/beauty, children/youth, people/relationships, and love/marriage.

As a member of the royal Trinity of Hearts Court Cards, which governs the season/suit of spring, the Jack of Hearts rules over the entire month of June and also the week of April 16 – April 22 in common years and April 15 – April 21 in leap years.
